I am, among many other potential descriptors, a PhD Candidate in Economics at The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio.
My primary research interests lie in theoretical industrial organization with a focus on Internet and media economics. Notable projects include examinations of the welfare implications from introducing ad-avoiding subscriptions into businesses like YouTube and Twitch.tv, and an experimental investigation into the psychological factors influencing deviations from theoretical predictions in consumer search.Areas of expertise:
I received my BA in Math and Economics from The College of St. Benedict/St. John's University in 2011. During my time as an undergraduate I spent 7 months in 2009 traveling across China and studying at Southwest University in Chongqing, along with an additional 6 weeks participating in a research exchange program at SWU in the summer of 2010.
